I wanted to have a glow in the dark Easter egg hunt. I had told Doris what I wanted to do so when it came time for me to stuff the eggs with glow sticks and candy I told her I was going to go camp out in the bathroom for a little bit. Well...she didn't quite catch what I was going to do and you can imagine what she was thinking when I was in the bathroom for a VERY long time.
But look how adorable these eggs turned out.
We took them and hid them throughout the front yard. Some were up in the trees and most were just scattered around in the grass.

I sure wish I could have gotten pictures of the hunt itself, but it was just too dark.
We lined the kids up and didn't tell them that they would be glowing in the dark.
Aussie didn't want to go. He's "too old" for stuff like this. But I knew he would like it. And even though he pretended that it was only OK, I saw him out there. He was running around laughing and having fun! He got inside and said, "Kit Kats made it all worth it."
They came inside and opened their eggs. Mason gets excited about anything.
But what was really funny, is that even though the eggs were mixed up all over the yard every single egg Ashley got had Kit Kats in them and every single egg G. got had chocolate eggs in them.
He was stunned. " It's not fair!" he said, embarrassing his Mom. So Ashley and G traded a few of each so they could both have what each other had.
All in all it was fun! And I plan to make this a tradition.
